The San Luis Valley Health Imaging Services Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Imaging Department consistently performs thousands of tests each year, from routine examinations to highly technical trauma scans and X-Rays.
The department produces quality studies on state-of-the-art equipment, and our staff has a passion for service and accurate results.

Health Imaging Services Team
Our department staff includes Radiologists (MD), 14 Radiologic Technologists who are each trained and certified in their specific modalities, and many of whom are cross-trained to assist in other specialties.
The Imaging Services Department is accredited by the State of Colorado, and the American College of Radiologists.
Through an agreement with Radiology & Imaging Consultants (RIC) of Colorado Springs, San Luis Valley Health also provides sub-specialty imaging services.
Stephanie L. Miner Women’s Imaging Center
Located within the San Luis Valley Health Imaging Department, the Stephanie L. Miner Women's Imaging Center offers up-to-date diagnostic services including:
- Digital Mammography (3D now available). Our state-of-the-art digital mammography unit improves the detection of early-stage breast cancer.
- Ultrasound. Offers higher resolution images, resulting in better diagnostics and quicker exam completion.
Through San Luis Valley Health’s agreement with Radiology & Imaging Consultants (RIC) of Colorado Springs, we offer breast imaging specialists onsite every Monday and Tuesday, and interventional specialists on Thursday and Friday, as well as electronic access to them and other imaging specialists 24/7.
