Ed Kulp, PA-C

Edward Kulp, PA-C, joined the Family Practice Clinic at San Luis Valley Health in January, 2011. He has been doing Family Medicine since 2001. His first job in medicine was as a medical technologist for 12 years. "I realized I wanted more patient contact and that is why I became a physician's assistant," he said. Once certified, he spent two years in ENT, Urology and Family Medicine before focusing solely on Family Medicine for the past decade.

"I like doing Family Medicine and being able to see children as young as seven days old clear to end-of-life in geriatrics," he said, adding that he won't rush his patients through their appointments and he won't make them wait long for answers. "I don't like it when I have a medical appointment and I never hear back from the provider. I always try to get back to the patient as soon as possible because they should have prompt follow-up on all lab tests and other diagnostics."

Ed says he enjoys the opportunities he has here to develop a patient-centered medical home and to take care of today's problems today.

Away from the clinic, Ed enjoys doing construction projects and spending time with his wife Kathy, their four children and three grandchildren.
