The team at San Luis Valley Health understands the importance of access to food. Some community members may need to rely on the local food bank network for assistance.
Over 40 team members at SLVH joined other community volunteers for several days packing food boxes and helping deliver them to waiting cars. The food bank network of the SLV served many residents over the Thanksgiving holiday to ensure no one went without a meal.
SLV Health also donated a generous gift of $2,500 so the local foodbank can continue serving families and individuals in the months ahead. Access to food banks is considered extremely valuable, as they provide a critical lifeline for individuals and families facing food insecurity, offering a crucial source of nutrition, especially during difficult economic times.
