SLV Health Nurses Honored at Regional Nightingale Event

The SLV Regional Nightingale awards ceremony, hosted by the San Luis Valley Area Education Center (SLV AHEC) was a wonderful event to celebrate excellence in nursing for the region.
The ceremony is named in honor of Florence Nightingale, known as the pioneer of modern nursing. After a one-year pause from having the ceremony in Colorado to revamp the categories and the awarding process, everyone was thrilled to have the event back!
The categories for nominations are:

San Luis Valley AHEC hosts the event for our local region. The regional nominees that go to the state level will be attending the event on May 18 at the Inverness Hotel in Centennial, hosted by the Colorado Nurses Foundation.
San Luis Valley Health had eight nurses nominated at the local level. The five who were selected to advance to the state level are listed in bold.
