San Luis Valley Health is a proud community partner! They sponsor major community events such as rodeos, races, chamber leadership, and other non-profit fundraisers such as the Tu Casa ball and the Valley-Wide annual gala. They show up to parades, job fairs, National Night Out, and many other events. They support Adelante, La Puente, Kids Place, Boys and Girls Club, and other non-profits that take care of our most vulnerable population. They are proud supporters of Trinidad State and Adams State’s students and programs. SLV Health is currently improving apartments on the Regional Medical Center campus to lessen the stress of available housing across Alamosa.
SLV Health’s Foundation hosts events such as the Stephanie Miner walk and the Boots and Bolos event in order to raise awareness and funds to improve services such as the 3-D mammography unit and guided biopsy. They recently remodeled the pharmacy to improve the safety and efficiency of chemotherapy treatments for patients with cancer. The state-of-the-art infusion pumps will increase quality and safety for all patients in both of their hospitals. Their next fundraiser is for a new MRI machine.
Konnie and Damon have personally supported the Alamosa Art project by buying art and donating it to the hospital to beautify the RMC campus. This generous gesture is greatly appreciated by staff, visitors, and patients.
