Bolos and Boots Event Raises Funds for MRI Upgrade

On Saturday, July 8, 2023, SLV Health Foundation hosted the most participants ever for their 20th annual Bolos and Boots fundraiser event at the Ski Hi Complex in Monte Vista.  Over $120,000 was raised through donations, tickets, corporate tables, and the auction.  The participants were invited to stay for the Bullfighters Only rodeo event which was sponsored by RG Bank! The dinner was catered by Woody's Q-Shack.  Weiss Cleaners donated the napkins and tablecloths, and the foundation staff and volunteers made it inviting and fun with all of the unique decorations. Duane and Lorey Bussey sponsored the cocktails and Alamosa State Bank matched the cash donations with their sponsorship of $20,000.  A grateful ER patient, Virgil Wagner, donated $10,000 toward the foundation in gratitude for the wonderful care he received. The annual Adamson Award went to long-time supporter Connie Spencer. Dr. Carissa Tripi received the award for excellence in service, and Duane Bussey was thanked for his years of service on the Foundation Board. Over 320 people attended this community event!
