Geiger Thanked by SLV RETAC for His Leadership

San Luis Valley’s Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council (SLV RETAC) presented David Geiger, DO, with a plaque that represents their gratitude and commitment to the service that he gave while serving as the Trauma Service Representative on the SLV RETAC Board of Directors. The plaque reads “We proudly present this award to you in appreciation of your time and dedication to San Luis Valley RETAC.” Dr. Geiger was crucial in this role as the SLV Health Regional Medical Center maintains its Trauma Level III certification. He advised the committee and contributed a general surgeon’s point of view on caring for patients suffering a traumatic event. He humbly accepted this award, noting that he knows the committee is in good hands under the guidance of Carla Christ, MD, SLV Health General Surgeon.

Presenting the appreciation plaque to Dr. Geiger is Julie Ramstetter, BSN, RN, TCRN, Trauma Service Program Manager, SLV Health, and Chair, SLV RETAC Board.
