Celebrating SLV Health Nurses Week 2020 - Jenny Bolton
SLV Health
Jenny Bolton, a registered nurse in the OB department, is one of the many nurses being celebrated from Nov. 1 through Nov. 7.
San Luis Valley Health is celebrating and thanking their nurses from Nov. 1 through Nov. 8. Nurses’ Week is traditionally held in May, but due to so many changes with COVID, the celebration was delayed. What a perfect time, now in the month of giving thanks, that nurses are celebrated. A special thank you goes out to SLV Health’s team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs or aka Advance Practice Registered Nurse), and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs).
Each Day is a New Challenge
Jenny Bolton, BSN, RN, decided many years ago that she wanted to be a nurse.
“Caring for other people is something I’ve always been passionate about,” she said. “Nursing brings many new opportunities and experiences.”
Bolton says she loves taking care of people in the OB department and helping them when they need it.
“I enjoy caring for both mother and babies,” she explains. “The part I enjoy most is caring for the infant after delivery.”
She feels there are many different areas of work in the nursing field, so her advice to find an area of nursing that is enjoyable for the individual.
“I enjoy this area of nursing because it is something different, new and exciting,” Bolton said. “Each day brings a new challenge.”
