SLVH RMC and CCH Updates Visitor Restrictions
SLV Health
San Luis Valley Health Regional Medical Center in Alamosa and Conejos County Hospital in La Jara updated specific visitor restrictions this week, and hospital officials are asking for the community's help to create the safest environment possible for patients.
The guidelines now in place are following the recommended guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and will restrict visitation to the hospital as well as access to patients.
The updated guidelines are as follows:
- All visitors must check in at the front desk.
- Visiting hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- No visitors under 18 years old.
- Only one visitor per patient, and the visitor must stay in the patient’s room at all times.
- Other family members or friends will not be permitted to enter the facility or wait in the lobby or common areas.
In addition, the hospital cafeteria will be closed to the general public, and only open only to staff, patients and visitors of patients.
Also, in an effort to protect the patients and staff, the hospital will also be postponing elective procedures, as well as routine care and visits for well-care, but will remain open for patients who have urgent and emergent needs.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
