The Alamosa Round-UP kicked off the holiday season at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center with its donation of a variety of gift baskets for the children that are in the hospital over the holidays as well as a number of Christmas stockings and caps that newborn babies can go home in during the month of December.
“The Alamosa Round-UP is so proud to be able to give back to our awesome community,” said Dawn Honeycutt. “We’re able to do this with the help of our sponsors. Thanks to all of them for helping us to give back.”
The organization has been a part of the western heritage here in the San Luis Valley for more than 40 years, and in addition to holding a yearly rodeo and demolition derby, it also will be hosting the 9th Annual Alamosa Christmas Light Parade. In addition to the gift baskets and stockings, the organization also holds the “Round-UP for a Cure,” where all donations go towards cancer services at SLV Health.
“This wonderful donation says so much about Alamosa Round-UP’s compassion and caring spirit,” said Kelly Gurule, Director of the SLV Health Foundation. “Donations like these make a huge difference, and we are thrilled to be able to share their generosity with our youngest patients.”
