SLV Health Participates in 2017 Fall CHA Career Fair
SLV Health
San Luis Valley Health was well represented at the 2017 Fall CHA Career Fair at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver on October 4th. Healthcare representatives and job seekers from across the state had the special pleasure of listening to our very own CEO Konnie Martin, who delivered the welcome keynote speech to kick off the event.
As part of her message to job seekers, Konnie pointed out the diverse opportunities working in healthcare can provide, including a broad group of select career paths, and the choice to work and enjoy the life of a busy, metro city, a quiet countryside, or rural area tucked close to or in the mountains. Martin also specifically noted that those who choose to work for smaller organizations often find themselves with a unique opportunity; that is, to experience and contribute to many different areas within the organization vs. a singular specialty area.
Martin currently serves as a Board Member for CHA, and in her role, serves as a strong representative, leader, and voice for rural healthcare organizations. Also in attendance at the CHA Career Fair recruiting candidates to join the SLV team was Mandy Crockett, Director of Human Resources, Joseph Stephens, Director of Therapy Services and Tiffany Albert, Human Resource Business Partner.
