SLV Health Updates Accessibility Signage
SLV Health
San Luis Valley Health has teamed up with the Colorado Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities, posting updated signage in reserved parking spaces for individuals with accessibility needs. These updated signs display the slogan “Think of me, keep it free” and feature persons with disabilities of all ranges including Paralympic athletes and more.
“This issue is not about changing a sign. It is about changing expectations,” Stephen Morris wrote in a citizen-led petition to change the signs across Connecticut.
The campaign led by the council is working to raise awareness, identify excuses and advocate change, ensuring that these spots remain reserved strictly for those who have accessibility needs.
