Thanksgiving Dinner at SLV Health
SLV Health
On Tuesday, November 17th, San Luis Valley Health Celebrated Thanksgiving at the SLV Health Cafe.
Members of the SLV Health Food Production Crew posed for a quick picture while preparing for the big mealTraditionally, free meals are provided to all employees for hospital week, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every year the company meals seem to grow; They grow in annual participation and volunteer size and this year’s Thanksgiving meal was no exception. This year it was recorded that 528 meals were served compared to last year’s 380. Similar to last year, two serving lines were used to keep the wait time minimal. Director of Food Production, Mark Lara was quick to source his team for their hard work, noting that they were able to keep both lines stocked as well as working as a solid unit inside the kitchen.
Also appreciated for thier assistance this year were several SLV Health Directors who volunteered to serve both lunch and dinner. Lara was impressed with how much assistance was received and how well everyone came together to support including Senior Team. Lindsay Pfannenstiel and the HR team were also noticed for their support in organizing and spreading the word on the employee event. A Thanksgiving meal was served at the SLV Health Conejos County Hospital Cafeteria November 19th.
