Surgical Nurses Get Into Spirit of Giving

Over the Holiday Season, the nurses of the General Surgery team at San Luis Valley Health extended their hands to several community members to make their holidays more comfortable.
The team purchased food, clothing that included winter coats, and other household items to help a handful of members of the community that were in need.
“I was so proud to be part of the team that did this,” said Rick Rodriguez, a Registered Nurse that works in General Surgery at San Luis Valley Health. “It was great to be part of a team that provided a helping hand to members of the community we serve.”
Alan Taylor, Director of Surgical Services and Anesthesia, echoed Rodriguez’s comments.
“I think this gesture really demonstrates the type of people we have working on our team,” Taylor noted. “They are great at what they do and have a genuine sense of care for the community they live in and serve.”
