SLV Health welcomes Tameira Hollander, MD to Internal Medicine

San Luis Valley Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Tameira Hollander, who has joined the organization’s Internal Medicine department.  Dr. Hollander comes to SLV Health after being in private practice in Littleton, CO. 

Dr. Hollander graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1995 at the top of her class and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1998.  She has since spent almost 16 years practicing internal medicine in a primary care setting.  She specializes in working with the elderly and has extensive experience managing diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and lung disease, thyroid conditions, and women’s health issues.

Dr. Hollander became a member of San Luis Valley Health’s medical team at the end of January.  She previously built and managed her own solo practice for three years but was disappointed that the administrative duties pulled her away from direct patient care.  “I am excited to get back to focusing the majority of my time helping patients improve their health,” states Dr. Hollander. 

Dr. Hollander and her husband, Todd, a data scientist, enjoy the outdoors and share a passion for endurance sports that will lend itself well to living in the San Luis Valley.
