Shannon Muniz, FNP-C, MSN, BSN, RN Joins SLV Health Primary Care in Stuart Ave, Alamosa

Shannon Muniz, FNP-C, joined the primary care practice at Stuart Avenue in Alamosa, Colorado. She completed her Master of Science in the Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner Program from Post University in 2024 while working at San Luis Valley Health.

She has been serving patients at SLVH for over 20 years as a nurse and a nurse leader. She received her BSN from Independence University and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Trinidad State College.

Her quiet approach has been appreciated by patients who feel that Shannon “really listens.” She delivers safe, competent, and compassionate healthcare in a community she has called “home” her whole life.

Shannon grew up in Capulin, Colorado, and graduated from Centauri High School. She is married with 3 children and when she is not at work she loves to garden, paint, and spend time in the mountains.
