Shannon Gonzales, CNM, has lived in the Valley since the age of 12. She graduated from Alamosa High School and earned her Bachelors of Nursing at Adams State, working as an OB nurse for 10 years. She received her Certified Midwifery degree in 2012 from the University of Cincinnati and provides women's health support including annual exams, contraceptive management, prenatal care, and delivery services.

She has a strong sense of commitment to the community, explaining "This is home to me.  Most of mine and my husband's family are here. I went to school here and would like to see my children grow up and attend school here."
