Laticia Hollingsworth, PA-C,ATC,CAQ
Laticia (Tish) Hollingsworth, PA-C, ATC, CAQ joined the PRO Orthopedics Clinic staff in August 2010. Her love for sports medicine stems from her experience on the other side of it. "I was an accident prone sort of kid who frequented the emergency room with broken bones and dislocated shoulders; I was always curious about making sure I saw the x-rays."
She earned her undergraduate degree in athletic training from the University of Northern Colorado before graduating from the Child Health Associate Physician Assistant’s Program at the University of Colorado. She then practiced family rural medicine and volunteered and worked as an athletic trainer for 13 years in and near Limon and Hugo. In 2006, she served for three weeks as an athletic trainer for the USA Women’s Softball Team at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center in California. In February of 2017, Tish was awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Orthopaedic Surgery by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). This is a very exciting accomplishment as only eight certified PAs in Colorado have this credential.
Tish now enjoys working with high school and college athletes in the San Luis Valley and providing them with sports medicine services and easier and rapid access to the orthopedic clinic. She says, "If I could have designed my dream job, this is it."
Tish and her husband have a daughter and three sons.
Provider Comment
"Tish always does a great job. She was training a new PA. Both Tish and the PA were very attentive and answered all my questions. I do and always will recommend the service I receive at SLV Health Orthopedic." -Patient of Tish Hollingsworth
