Justin M. Buchholz, DO
Justin M. Buchholz, D.O., medical director for the hospitalist teams at the Regional Medical Center in Alamosa and the Conejos County Hospital in La Jara, believes in a team approach with colleagues, patients, and the patient’s support system. He leads with integrity, and his focus is continually on the best possible health outcome for every patient. Buchholz was the assistant medical director and a full-time hospitalist at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo before leading the team in Alamosa. He was an attending physician at the RMC in Alamosa for three years on a part-time basis prior to his current role. He completed his residency as an Internal Medicine Resident at Parkview and graduated from the Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. His undergraduate degree is from Missouri State University. He was recognized as the “Resident of the Year” by the Parkview Medical Center Internal Medicine program and has an extensive list of academic presentations along with philanthropic experiences and medical mission trips. Dr. Buchholz and his wife love to spend time in the mountains, travel, bike, hike, and snowboard.
